The newness of it all is quickly eroding & exposing the stark realization that the Amazon is a major GRIND !
However the novelty of an RV and the companionship of family & friends is still a major BUZZ !
Many folks in Big Chief really don't need the money, but they need to keep active and maybe mimic the past when daily struggle at the job was just the way it is.
Bringing home the pay check was an act of love, beer in the fridge, gas for the car ,clothes on the kids and a house for the wife.
However some of the ol timers here are hooking their horses to their wagons and heading on down the road, south to the land of ocean and sun. The nightly temps dipping down into the teens and the madness of the Amazon has changed the landscape of the RV camp, with many vacated spaces. However the relationships that are made here serve to strengthen the desire to stick it out to the bitter end.
The Amazon is a RIGHT OF PASSAGE, we will be like Vietnam Vets.....sorta !.
