Coffeyvile update:
We have now completed 3 weeks at Amazon. the first week (4 day work week) was from 6:30 Am to 12 noon.
The last 2 full weeks started at 6:30am and lasted to 5pm.
How is it going you say ?......
Well we are glad to be working, and beggars can't be choosy but we are glad it ends in late December.
Working here requires you to be on your feet contently, you have to concentrate on the info displayed on your scanner and there is lots of pressure to figure out the many various locations that you need to quickly access ASAP....its a huge complex , last summers 1/2 marathon training has come in handy for me.
Jeannie is nursing her foot blisters, hoping these 2 days off now will save the day for her feet.
There is overtime just around the corner, so starting Tuesday we work 5 days per week. A few people here at Big Chief have backed out and moved on, maybe once at 5 days/week there might be a few more. It seem though that the folks here still have the pride that keeps them in the ball game.
Jeannie and I are grateful to be with family during this experiment, its obvious that without Bill & Jalene this adventure would never be taking place....FAMILY is everything !!
Last night after work we went out to eat Mexican with 2 couples from work.....I ate approaching my limit intake...death was near..but in the end happy memories won.
So far the weather has been mild, especially when referenced to the Northwest...lots of wind and only a few nights of freezing temps. To be sure though we have to be care full with our water system. We have purchased a couple of space heaters to keep the water system functional, and for cabin warmth. Since Amazon pays for our stay ( electricity ) at the camp, we are using propane for hot water only.
Dusty stays tied up all day, so I make it a point regardless of how tired I am after working that I take her out walking. On our days off she gets to go with me and explore the winter in Kansas.
Above is a recent picture shot from the inside of the Morgan's motor home.

The picture above taken from the rear porch of Jalene's daughter's house in Wichita Kansas a week ago.
We had a early Thanksgiving there, her husband is a Major in the Air force. He pilots tankers and other aircraft.
Above taken tonight after a disappointing Seahawk's game against the Kansas city Chiefs. Dusty makes me happy !
Our second visit at Christ Church in Coffeyville was first class again....its real living to be worshipping in a real church...no instruments, only adds to the vibe. We were invited out to lunch by the young preacher and his wife, along with 3 others from the congregation. Had a great time with these down to earth people. Could put down roots here with the support of these folks.....but we are to old and stuck in our ways to stay this low on the hemisphere.
